RE-FRESH/RE-DESIGN

Web site re-refresh or complete re-design?

Is your website is looking a little dated? Trying to decide whether a refresh will do the job or is a complete re-design needed?

A refresh involves the updating or changing of a few on-site elements, rather than redesigning everything from scratch. Think of this as re-siding a house or buying a new outfit. The bones and structure of the website remain the same, but can benefit from a brand new look. Website refreshes can make a big impact even though the changes are decidedly minor.

It might be time to implement a complete web site re-design if your web site isn’t mobile responsive, it’s old, it uses flash or is slow or even if you just hate it.  If your web site is really hard to navigate around it isn’t going to do your sales any favours.

Whichever route you decide to take PDC are here to turn your ideas into reality.

Bespoke versus template web site design?

If you have made the decision that you need to completely redesign your web site you will need to decide whether you would like a bespoke or template design.

We can help you decide which best suits your needs.

A ‘template’ website is a generic, pre-built site and is available for anyone to purchase. The owner can choose from a set of pre-designed templates, tweak the colour palette and add logos and images. This can be done by either supplying the developer with your content to update onto the template, or by using an in-built Content Management System (CMS). These pre-built websites are generally not very flexible and the owner is limited to the parameters of the template.

Website templates are a seemingly easier, faster initially, and offer lower up-front cost compared to a professional, customised web design.

A ‘bespoke’ website is tailor-made to the specific demands of your business and are designed and built by our experienced professionals. PDC’s designers and developers will spend time analysing your requirements, interpreting your brief and will work with you at every stage to create a design that is unique to you. With customised designs and easy-to-update content, it is often simpler to for us to employ the latest search engine optimisation techniques.

There are many pro’s and con’s to each solution.  We have the experience and knowledge to help you make the decision and to meet your project requirements.
